Alle koi dommere må gå i lære ganske lenge.

hei her er mine valg:

Default Grand Champion 2008

Her er resultatene fra vår hollandske ZNA dommer trainee Piet Vaessen:

Here are my results of the online Koishow:

1st Grand Champion, Kohaku, picture nr.8 Frosky

2nd Mature Champion, Showa, picture nr. 5 Bigkoy

3rd Kohaku, picture nr. 4 Koiboy

Dutch Friendship award, Kohaku, picture nr. 1 Chasys

Explanation

Grand Champion:
This kohaku has a fantastic body shape. His skin quality is excellent, the hi parts and his shiro (white) are very good. His kiwa and sashi is very good to. The pattern is nidan but if it was broken in more parts (shoulder) it was far better.
Wins on his body shape and skin quality.

Mature Champion, Showa
This Showa has good skin quality and good pattern. Body is good, but smaller than kohaku nr. 1 that's the reason he is 2nd. In the future he can get more body and win from the Kohaku. The pattern is nice, the hi pattern is nice from head to tail. The sumi parts are two on the right and one of the left side, BUT the menware on the head is also on the left side so its compensate this lack, so two sumi parts on both sides. On the shoulder part is no sumi, BUT his motoguru compensate this lack on both sides. Kiwa and sashi are very good, because he has 5 hi patterns also 5 patterns has to be a good kiwa and sashi. This is very difficult and rare. The most koikeepers don't like koi with more than three patterns because of the difficulty they must have all be good kiwa and sashi. Pattern starts by the white nose and finish with white just before the tail, very good. His hi pattern starts on the head and finish just before the tail with hi, very good.
Missing a little sumi pattern in the tail area, but maybe its still coming, because Showa is always Showa. This is a koi with great future. Nice pictures!!

3rd. place
Sandan Kohaku, This is a nice three step kohaku with good skin quality and pattern. Good body shape. The hi pattern in the middle go to far down under the lateral line. But its still a very good koi. This koi has a good future.

Friendship award
This is a good nidan kohaku with good body shape and nice pattern. Because this koi is to young at the moment he has no chance against the other ones. His skin quality is not so good at he moment because its to thin. You see the color of the bone from the head. So it looks dirty at the moment but it is not finnish. If this koi grows the skin will be thicker and more white. Look at the fins they are so thin that the bleu color from the bowl shinning so much you cannot see the end of the fins. This koi has a good future.

These are my results and explanation. I hope you all will be satisfied.
It was a honnor to do for me.

God luck with the koi hobby in Norway.
Regards,
Piet Vaessen
